The Role:
Reporting to the Head of Finance and based in Dublin, this is a dynamic and exciting role, which requires strong commercial acumen and a proven track record in people management. This position is suitable for a candidate with meticulous attention to detail who is willing to work on their own initiative and has a very strong sense of ownership and responsibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Management Reporting – preparation and consolidation of monthly/quarterly management reporting packs with a focus on continuous improvement, automation and evolution.
Ensure effective management of the finance team with a focus on maintaining robust internal controls.
Streamlining and improving all operations and accounting systems.
Ensuring compliance with financial regulations and accounting standards.
Taxation – ensure compliance with all laws and regulations.
Financial Reporting – leading finance responsibility for financial statement production.
Overseeing the audit process and liaising with external personnel where required.
Management of the Budget process and key stakeholder involvement.
Undertake strategic analysis and feasibility studies of business opportunities as they arise.
Working closely with the Head of Finance in presenting reports to board members and senior executives.
Skills and Qualifications:
Proven Financial Controller experience, track record and ability to lead and manage people.
Ambitious and energetic, with strong commercial acumen and the highest degree of integrity.
Excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills and an ability to bring out the best performance in people.
A strong work ethic with solid analytical, business planning and problem-solving skills.
ACA or ACCA qualified with knowledge of accounting operations to include all aspects of accounts receivable, general ledger, accounts payable, payroll etc.
Advanced Excel skills are essential. Experience with SAP is desirable.
